Ingredients

Pretzel base and chocolate topping
  • 30 mini pretzel squares or rounds Use squares or rounds so the bites stack and break apart cleanly.
  • 16 oz white chocolate melting wafers Melting wafers melt smoothly for a thin, even coating.
  • 1 red candy melts Melt separately for clean red drizzle lines.
  • 1 blue candy melts Melt separately for clean blue drizzle lines.
  • 1 red, white, and blue star sprinkles Add immediately while the chocolate is wet so they stick.
  • 1 parchment paper Lines the pan to prevent sticking and make cleanup easy.

Equipment

  • 1 sheet pan

Method

Prep the tray
  1. Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper and spread the mini pretzel squares in a single layer.
  2. Make sure the pretzels don’t overlap so they get an even coating.
Melt and coat with white chocolate
  1. Melt the white chocolate melting wafers in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until completely smooth.
  2. Spoon or drizzle the melted white chocolate over each pretzel, covering the top but leaving the edges slightly visible.
Add red and blue drizzle
  1. Melt the red candy melts in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until completely smooth.
  2. Melt the blue candy melts in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each until completely smooth.
  3. Drizzle the red and blue melts over the white chocolate-coated pretzels using a spoon or piping bag, making thin lines for a layered look.
  4. Immediately scatter the star sprinkles over each piece while the chocolate is still wet so they adhere before it sets.
Set and serve
  1. Let the pretzel bites sit at room temperature for 30 minutes until fully set.
  2. Alternatively, refrigerate for 10 minutes until fully set, then break apart and serve.

Notes

For the smoothest coating, keep heating in short microwave bursts (30 seconds) and stir between each until the chocolate is fully fluid. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days; freezing is not recommended because the sprinkles and chocolate can lose texture. For a gluten-free swap, use certified gluten-free mini pretzels so the finished bites stay snack-ready for GF diets.
